Are there any restrictions on who can hire/drive the motorhome?
Yes the driver/s must be between 21 – 79 years of age and have the C1 category on their driving licence.
(Drivers who passed their car test after 1 January 1997 will have to meet higher medical standards, obtain a Category C1 Provisional Licence and then pass both theory and practical C1 driving tests to gain category C1. Those who passed their test prior to this date should automatically have the C1 category).
Category C1 is a requirement on your driving licence to drive our motorhome. This enables you to drive vehicles between 3,500 and 7,500kg MAM (with a trailer up to 750kg).
It is your responsibility to ensure the driver has the correct licence to drive the vehicle prior to booking.
What documents do I need to provide?
1 week prior to departure the following documents are required for all drivers:
- Photo driving licence (or paper licence and passport) A photo of the front and back
- Provide 2 other forms of address ID
1. A utility bill (gas, electric, water – not mobile phone)
2. A council tax bill/statement, bank/credit card statement, mortgage statement, TV/internet/landline telephone bill
- A DVLA check code (instructions will be provided)
NB: Both address ID documents must be dated within 90 days of the hire date.
Where can we go in the motorhome?
You can travel anywhere in the UK or EU
We offer 1000 free miles so certainly enough to get you to a lovely spot/s. For every mile over that a 0.14p charge per mile will apply.
You are more than welcome to “wild camp” too, our motorhome will run off the leisure battery or off gas. However, it is your responsibility to ensure you have the land owners permission.
Are there any restrictions on the dates we can rent the motorhome?
We accept bookings of a minimum 1 night
How do I book?
Booking via the website is the fastest and most convenient way to book, however telephone or email bookings can be taken.
How do I make payment?
Payment is by bank transfer, full bank details will be provided at the time of booking.
Why do I have to pay a bond?
1 week prior to the rental start date, a £500 bond is required. This is to secure the motorhome against any damage caused either accidentally or maliciously.
Within 48hrs of satisfactory return of the motorhome, the £500 deposit bond will be refunded.
The motorhome must be returned on time (before 11am), undamaged and all items included in the rental must be present and in full working order. The fuel tank should be full, the waste water empty and the toilet should be emptied and cleaned.
We expect the motorhome to be returned clean inside, there is no requirement for you to clean the exterior.
In the event that damage has occurred, the £500, or part thereof, would be used to carry out the repairs. For any insurance claim or accidental damage, £500 is your maximum liability.
What time can I collect the Motorhome?
You are welcome to collect the Motorhome anytime after 2pm on first date of the rental. However please do give us a call if you wish to collect any earlier, we will try to accommodate you.
What time should the Motorhome be returned?
The motorhome should be returned by 11am undamaged and all items included in the rental must be present and in full working order. The fuel tank should be full, the waste water empty and the toilet should be emptied and cleaned or charges will apply.
How many seat belts are included?
There are 6 fully functioning seat belts, therefore enough for the maximum number of occupants. Childseats must be provided by the hirer and used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines.
Is bed linen provided?
Yes, bed linen and duvets and pillows for 6 occupants will be provided, you are welcome to bring any additional blankets should you feel it necessary.
Please bring your own towels.
Is there anywhere I can leave my car?
You are more than welcome to leave your car on our drive, at your own risk.
How will I know how to use all the functions/equipment of the motorhome?
On collection, you will be given a full tour of the vehicle and all its facilities. This can be as brief or as in depth as you require.
A “how to” guide will also be provided.

What should I do in the event of an accident?
Contact the emergency services if applicable and when you are able, complete the accident form in the welcome pack and contact us on 07964 134763 as soon as possible.
Do I need travel insurance?
We would advise you do get travel insurance, to cover your possessions and in the event of cancellation with us.
Can I cancel my booking?
We understand that there are circumstances beyond your control that means you cannot fulfill your obligations, however cancelling a booking with us is subject to the follow conditions/charges:
- 28 days or more prior to the rental start date – loss of 20% of total booking amount.
- Less than 28 days prior to the rental start date – loss of the full cost of booking
If you do have to cancel your hire, we will endeavour to find another client. If we are successful in securing a booking, you will receive a full refund of monies paid less an administration charge of £50. If we are unsuccessful in finding another client you will be liable for the above costs.
Is smoking allowed?
No, smoking, including the use of E-cigarettes, is not permitted inside the motorhome.
What equipment is provided?
Along with the standard integrated appliances (fridge, cooker and microwave), the following equipment is provided:
- TV – including integrated DVD player and Freeview
- TV aerial – some sites have the facility to plug into their aerial, giving you more options for TV channels
- Bed linen, duvets and pillows
- Cooking utensils
- Pots & pans
- Portable gas BBQ (this can connect to the on board gas bottle)
- Picnic chairs
- Picnic table
- Washing up liquid, dishcloths, tea towels, cleaning fluid
- Toilet rolls
- Electric hook up cable
Are pets allowed?
We welcome well behaved dogs only and don’t charge extra for them (subject to any damage), however you must provide your own pet bedding and they are not permitted on the furniture.
When travelling, it is your responsibility to ensure dogs are suitably restrained so they cannot distract you while you are driving or injure you, or themselves, if you stop quickly.
A seat belt harness, pet carrier, dog cage or dog guard are ways of restraining animals whilst travelling, it is the hirers responsibility to provide these items.
